MoMac Takes Home Two Awards at the 2025 North Canterbury Business Awards
There’s something pretty special about seeing a whole region come together to champion its brightest ideas, boldest talent, and hardest-working teams. The North Canterbury Business Awards captured that spirit perfectly this year, filling the Rangiora Baptist Church on 21 November with excitement, applause, and a real sense that our business community is continuing to grow into something remarkable.
And we were stoked to be right in the middle of it.
MoMac was nominated for the Saunders Robinson Brown Professional Services Award and proudly came away as 2nd runner up. Even better, we also placed 2nd runner up in the People’s Choice Award with 528 public votes behind us. With more than 50 businesses in the running, earning recognition twice in one night felt unreal and incredibly rewarding.
Our road to the People’s Choice podium came with its own fun twist. Our digital marketers, Hanna and Talesha, led a 32-day Water Bucket Challenge that turned plenty of heads and encouraged people across the community to jump in and vote. Their dedication (and willingness to get soaked every day) definitely helped make a splash.
The awards night itself was brilliant. We enjoyed great food and drinks, caught up with clients and friends, met new faces, and even squeezed in a bit of dancing once the ceremony wrapped up. The whole evening had an atmosphere that reminded us why we love being part of this region.

As we left the gala buzzing with inspiration, it was clear that the night wasn’t just about trophies—it was about celebrating a region full of potential. That same energy that welcomed us at the start of the evening is exactly what we’re carrying forward into the year ahead.
