We are a passionate group of creatives proud to call the small town of Rangiora home. Staying true to our roots from our office on Blake Street, our team strives to build strong relationships with our clients, bringing innovative results to the people of Canterbury.

Meet The Team

Creative Director

Ryan McDonald

In 2017, Ryan identified a gap in the market for producing social media marketing videos in Canterbury. Leveraging his expertise in photography and videography, he founded MoMac, which has since evolved into a highly respected creative agency in Christchurch, boasting a talented team of creatives. Ryan now leads the team at MoMac as Creative Director.
Operational Manager

Merrin McDonald

Meet Merrin, our Operational Manager whose journey from admin, sales, and management roles has been a natural progression to working at MoMac. Thriving on social interaction and diverse tasks, Merrin finds herself in the centre of a dynamic environment and the opportunity to apply her organisational prowess to support our growing team and client base.

Beyond the professional realm, Merrin is known for her creative flair in fashion and design. Whether it's delving into historical events through books or enjoying quality time with her close-knit family, Merrin embodies a balanced blend of professionalism and a bubbly, infectious personality, making her an integral part of our team.

Senior Client Manager

Carl Robertson

With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Carl is the wise owl of MoMac, adding a depth of knowledge to the team as our Senior Client Manager. Setting out as a Business Graduate from Massey University, Carl has established himself as a highly regarded marketing professional in both Wellington and Christchurch, working both on agency and client side.
Accounts/Finance

Alena Powell

Alena joined the MoMac team as our accounts/admin in 2020 with an experienced career in accounts, starting at a Winery in Blenheim, to Australia and all around NZ. With the addition of a diploma in accounting to her portfolio, Alena is a perfect fit to our team bringing a light to the room with her bubbly personality.

Alena’s passion for accounting and admin sparks from a love for making daily tasks as easy as possible. Alongside this, her excellent problem-solving skills are a great asset to our team!

Outside of MoMac, Alena spends her spare time going on little adventures with her adorable dog, Willow.

Senior Web Developer

Michael Price

Michael is an accomplished Senior Web Developer who possesses a passion for taking ideas and transforming them into fully functional websites and apps. A highly experienced Web & UX Developer, Michael is continuously exploring new technologies and innovations in the web sector. Michael leads our skilled team of web developers ensuring quality and solutions.
Senior Graphic Designer

Brad Russell

Brad our Senior Graphic Designer loves problem-solving and seeing his clients smile. With a lifelong interest in illustration and more than ten years of graphic design experience across a range of industries, Brad sees design as a way to solve problems through creative design whilst balancing functionality and executing the client brief.
Graphic Designer

Jasmine Luck

Jasmine is a master of all trades, dabbling in graphic design, social media and web design. Growing up, she had a creative flare and soon discovered a passion for marketing, business and the psychology behind why people do what they do. She learnt to code at the age of 15 and has been building websites ever since. Upon leaving school, Jaz expanded her extensive web and design skills through higher education with two graphic design diplomas and industry experience. Managing a range of social media accounts for MoMac’s clients, she loves to take someone’s ‘baby’ and help transform it into a flourishing business. And if needed, the creative Kiwi can also help you solve a Rubiks Cube.
Web Developer

Sarah Taal

Sarah embodies creativity, passion and drive in her role as a web designer/developer in the bustling town of Rangiora, New Zealand. Her expertise in the field stems from her time as a prepress operator/designer at a digital printery, and her continued education in UX and Web Design. Now, as an integral part of the team at MoMac, Sarah brings her unique flair to every project she works on. Sarah is always seeking new challenges and ways to grow and her dedication and natural talent make her a standout in the industry and a valuable asset to our team.
Web Developer

Javi Fuentes

Hailing from Santiago in Chile, Javi (pronounced Harvey) injects some international flare into the MoMac team. The talented Web Developer grew up in a super-creative family and has brought a wealth of knowledge to MoMac, with a high level of expertise in WordPress, HTML, Javascript, CSS and Vue. Inspired by music and design, Javi loves the never-ending opportunities to learn that come with the digital industry and enjoys meeting other tech-heads who are creative and open-minded. When she’s not busy coding up a storm at MoMac’s Rangiora office, Javi likes to dance and skateboard.
Web Developer

Simon Folkerts

Having worked as a researcher and fabricator using CAD/CAM technologies, a drone test pilot, and as a teacher delivering web development and UX courses at a tertiary level for nearly half a decade in Christchurch and Auckland, Simon brings a wide range of experiences and insights to the web development team.
Content Creator

Oliver Watson

Oliver got his first camera, a Nikon CoolPix, at the age of seven and hasn’t stopped snapping photos and making videos since. His love for content creation runs deep and is likely inherited from his dad - a well-respected landscape photographer. With a natural affinity for music, photography and videography, Ollie is a key member of the MoMac team and brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. With qualifications in design, animation and film production, the Christchurch-based videographer has worked at some of New Zealand’s premier production agencies and leading international brands throughout his career. Humble, happy and always up for a laugh, Ollie loves the variety that comes with working at MoMac with no two days ever the same.
Content Creator

Dhrumil Desai

Not only is Dhrumil (pronounced Dru Mil) a kick-ass photographer and videographer, but he also makes a mean cup of chai tea - much to the delight of the MoMac team. Embarking on a career as a photographer was a no-brainer for Dhrumil, whose parents operated a successful wedding photography and videography business in India. The accomplished content creator picked up the camera at the age of 17 and hasn’t looked back, with an international professional career spanning more than six years photographing and videoing weddings, fashion, architecture and real estate, family portraits, live music and the occasional celebrity. Popular with MoMac’s clients for his upbeat and can-do attitude, Dhrumil spends his spare time leaping around the badminton court and hiking around the region with his trusty camera by his side.
Digital Marketer

Sophie Robinson

Sophie is a seasoned marketer with a strategic mind and a flare for creativity. With a first-class degree in Business Management and Marketing, she's spent the last 5 years developing her skills in digital marketing – from social media management and content creation to web design, email marketing and affiliate marketing. After a thrilling 6-months traveling around Southeast Asia whilst working as a digital marketing contractor for clients based in the UK and the Netherlands, Sophie moved to New Zealand and joined the MoMac team in November 2023.

Beyond her digital expertise, she's a craft enthusiast, a gamer, and an avid traveler who finds joy in hiking and wild swimming. Sophie brings her unique blend of skills and experiences to make waves in the marketing world.
