MoMac
Rangiora, Canterbury
Marketing & Communications
Full time
$80,000–$90,000+ per year, depending on experience (Immediate Start)
Kia ora and welcome to MoMac.
We’re not your typical agency.
What started as a one-person video production business has grown into a full-service creative agency with a talented team of marketers, designers, developers, photographers, videographers and strategists helping businesses throughout New Zealand grow.
Today, MoMac is home to a passionate team of creative and marketing professionals who enjoy producing great work, building strong client relationships and challenging the status quo.
We’re ambitious, constantly evolving and committed to creating an environment where our people enjoy coming to work every day.
Due to the continued growth of our Digital Marketing department, we’re looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Team Lead to join MoMac.
This is a key leadership position within a growing department. You’ll help lead and support our Digital Marketing team, strengthen relationships with new and existing clients, coordinate workloads and ensure our campaigns and marketing services are delivered to a consistently high standard.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced marketing professional who enjoys leading people, building client relationships and helping businesses grow through effective marketing strategy.
This position is less focused on being the most technically specialised person in the room and more focused on leadership, communication, planning, strategy and client success.
You’ll lead and support an established Digital Marketing team while working closely with our wider creative, content, web, design and client services departments.
You’ll help organise workloads, plan upcoming projects and campaigns, guide team members, resolve challenges and ensure clients receive clear communication and strong marketing outcomes.
You’ll also become a trusted point of contact for many of our clients, helping them onboard with MoMac, understand their marketing activity, develop strategies and plans, review performance and identify opportunities for continued growth.
While this is primarily a leadership and client-facing role, you’ll still be willing to roll up your sleeves when needed. You will assist with content planning, social media, reporting, campaign delivery or other hands-on marketing tasks to support the team.
No two days will be the same. You’ll work with businesses across a wide variety of sectors while helping shape the future growth and development of MoMac’s Digital Marketing department.
What Success Looks Like
You enjoy helping both people and businesses succeed.
You’re a strong communicator who can build trust with clients, lead productive conversations and explain marketing strategies and performance in a way that is clear and easy to understand.
You’re confident planning workloads, setting priorities and helping a team navigate multiple clients, campaigns and deadlines.
You have a strong foundation in marketing and understand how digital channels such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO, email marketing and organic social media work together.
You don’t necessarily need to be the strongest technical Google Ads or Meta Ads operator, but you understand the platforms, their purpose, common terminology and how they can contribute to a wider marketing strategy.
You’re proactive, commercially aware, highly organised and comfortable taking responsibility for client relationships, team performance and department delivery.
