Kia ora! Our creative agency MoMac is seeking local talent for an upcoming photography and video campaign promoting a residential community in North Canterbury.

We are casting a mix of families, couples, individuals and friends to help create natural lifestyle scenes for the campaign.

No professional modelling experience is required. We are simply looking for real people who reflect the local community.

Casting Call:

Project: Subdivision & Lifestyle Photoshoot.

Location: North Canterbury

Project Overview: The shoot will capture a range of everyday lifestyle moments within the community including:

  • Walking tracks and bike paths

  • Golf course proximity

  • Park and reserve areas

  • Show home visits

  • Outdoor entertaining and neighbourhood moments

Scenes will be photographed and filmed both inside and outside homes, as well as within the surrounding neighbourhood.

Model & Talent Breakdowns:

We are seeking individuals and families across a range of age groups.

Young Family

  • Mum (approx 30–40)
  • Dad (approx 30–40)
  • Child (approx 5–10)

Professional Couple

  • Male (approx 30–45)
  • Female (approx 30–45)

Downsizer Couple

  • Male (approx 55–70)
  • Female (approx 55–70)

Friends / Neighbours

  • Adults aged 25–65

We welcome diverse backgrounds and ethnicities.

Shoot Days:

The shoot will take place over one day within the following window:

Tuesday 7 April – Friday 10 April

The exact date will depend on weather and will be confirmed 3–4 days prior.

Each participant will be required for either:

  • Half day (approx 4 hours)
    or

  • Full day (approx 8 hours)

Talent Fee:

Half Day (4 hours): $250 per person
Full Day (8 hours): $500 per person

Example: Family of four for a full day = $2000 total

Rates may vary slightly depending on role requirements.

Usage and Fee:

The fee includes unrestricted usage of all photography and video content worldwide across all media, in perpetuity.

The imagery will be used for marketing and promotion of the subdivision development, including digital advertising, social media, websites, and printed marketing materials.

Casting Process:

We are prioritising talent based in or near North Canterbury, as travel costs cannot be covered.

Submissions Close: 5pm Monday 30 March 2026

Successful applicants will be notified by Wednesday 1 April 2026.

Wardrobe / Model Requirements:

Selected talent will be asked to bring 2–3 casual lifestyle outfits suitable for a relaxed residential setting.

Guidelines:

  • Smart casual clothing

  • Solid colours or subtle patterns

  • Avoid stripes or large logos

  • Neutral and natural tones preferred

Further wardrobe guidance will be provided if selected.

Special Conditions:

  • Must be comfortable appearing in marketing photography and video

  • Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian

  • Some roles may require police vetting

Application Form:

Please ensure you:

  • Complete all fields.
  • Multiple Persons – For more than one person ensure to click “Add Additional Person” and complete a model release form for all models and individual talent.
  • Photos – Please submit at least two photographs: 1 recent head and shoulders photograph, 1 recent full-length shot (avoid loose or baggy clothing).
